The Grand Prix Museum can be found at the Tourism Activities Center on Rua Luis Gonzaga Gomes and it was established in 1993 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Grand Prix racing in the city of Macau. The grand prix race was commenced as far back as in 1954 and has been continuing for more than half a century. As soon as one enters the museum, the most eye catching car is a red and white race car that has been driven by Aryton Senna, who died in 1994. For those who want to try out what it feels like to be in a racing car there are two simulators placed at the museum for visitors to try out. The museum has a free admission policy and is open from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening and it is closed on Tuesdays.
