How to Get There

The most straightforward way of getting to the Grand Palace is by boat by getting to Tha Tien (N8) dock followed by a ten-minute walk. You can also use taxis, tuk-tuks, or the MRT as well, but take note that the prices might be higher.

The Best Time to Visit

The Grand Palace is open every day from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. As it takes approximately three to four hours to complete the tour, it is recommended that you visit during the morning hours, as you would experience comfortable weather as well as fewer people. For convenient access to the Grand Palace, you cannot go wrong by staying at the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel which is only 19 minutes away and is a luxury hotel in Bangkok.

What Can You Expect to See on Your Visit

The Grand Palace is home to famous sites including the Angkor Wat model, the Golden Stupa, the Phra Mondop, the Closisters’ elaborate paintings, the Wat Phra Kaew with the Emerald Buddha, the Textile Museum and so much more.
