It’s a fact that most people go to Bali for its collection of breathtaking beaches. Even though Bali beaches are a popular affair the island still offers coastal gems waiting to be discovered.
Padang Padang Beach is a truly spectacular beach located a few minutes away from Uluwatu Temple in Ubud. Even though it is considered one of the best surf spots on the island, it’s still not a very crowded one. To enjoy challenging and impressive waves, Pedang Pedang is the place to be. The Dreamland Beach is also located close to Ubud where you find some impressive accommodation in Bali including the COMO Shambhala Estate, Bali. Dreamland beach is a great place for surfing as well as for families and couples looking to enjoy some quiet time.
4.5km east of Candidasa you find the Perasi Beach also referred to as Pasir Putih, Virgin beach or simply the hidden beach. This is a secluded stretch of coast lying between the two villages of Bugbug and Perasi. Visitors can enjoy various water activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing, or simply indulge in various dishes served with excellent views.
When you travel to the west coast of Bali you find the Balian beach, which has dark volcanic sand and ideal surf waves. This stretch of beach is fringed with paddy fields so the scenery is beyond breathtaking. It’s an ideal spot for water activities however if your preference is to lay on a sun lounger all day long then Balian is ideal for that too.
The Green Bowl beach is a hidden gem favoured by lovers looking for a quiet escape. To access the beach one must descend hundreds of concrete steps down the cliff face and at the base you find several bat caves. The descent is a piece of cake compared to the climb back, however, the surrounding scenery makes climbing up a pleasing journey.
