Sir Bani Yas – then and now
Some 7000 years ago, it was the Bani Yas tribe to first settle here. Then they abandoned the island for good. In the 1970s, it was the founder of the UAE- Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan AL Nahyan to give this island life again with the nature reserve concept.
