If you are in China for the first time it can be quite daunting to figure out what you should see, especially when your time is limited, and the destination is a country that is vast and filled with exciting and beautiful things to see. Here is a small list of cities that you must visit, in the hopes that you can use it as a guideline and see as much as possible.

Beijing

Beijing was the capital of China for almost a millennium, so it is both modern and ancient all at once. Beijing is one of the first places people visit if it’s their first time in China. Stay in a China hotel and visit the Forbidden City and the best-preserved part of the Great Wall in downtown Beijing.

Guilin

Guilin is like a page out of a fantasy book with its unique karst landscape of mountains. You can travel around Guilin by boat on the Li River and visit the idyllic city that is nestled between the magically undulating mountains.

Chengdu

Pandas were almost extinct, so if you are in China and you don’t see one of these adorable creatures up close, you are missing out on witnessing a miracle. Chengdu is home to the Panda Base in Dujiangyan to get up close and personal with them.

Hangzhou

Hangzhou is about an hour or two away from Pan Pacific Ningbo and has been known as heaven on earth for its elegant landscapes. Hangzhou is a romantic city where you can explore the remnants of the Yuan Dynasty and bask in awe at its natural beauty.
